Frequently Asked QuestionsHere I will attempt at answering some of the questions people that have frequently asked. Please see if your question is answered here before emailing me. Thank you. Questions Regarding SiteCan I apply to be a staff on Klandestine Designs? I am sorry, but I already have a staff in addition to myself, so I think I have enough help right now :). Can I submit layouts to Klandestine Designs? Again, I am sorry. Currently I am flying solo on layouts because I want all the layouts on Klandestine to be my own to keep the originality of this site, so I will not be accepting submissions at the moment. I found someone stealing your layouts/graphics, what do I do? If that is the case, please send me an email at HERE with the url of the site that contains the stolen layouts/graphics. I will be eternally grateful for your help. Can you custom design a layout/graphic for me? At the moment I will not be able to accept any custom design requests due to the amount of school work I have. However, I allow people to request a certain anime or picture to be made into a layout. If you have a request, please feel free to email me and I will see what I can do :). As for graphics, I do accept custom design orders for avatars and banners. Please email me with your specific request and an image (or a url that leads to the image) in the email that you want me to make the graphic out of. Can I link exchange with Klandestine? Sure! Just click HERE to find out how. Can I affiliate with Klandestine? Affiliation with Klandestine Designs is OPEN at the moment. For more information, please click on "Affiliation" link under the affiliation section of the navigation. Questions Regarding LayoutsBelow are questions that were actually asked by visitors. I thought I would put up my responses to those questions in case others have similar ones. Will I be able to edit the navigation links on all pages just by editing the base one? Can I do that in both div and tables? If you are just starting a website then yes, you can just edit the navigation to your own choosing and then just copy the edited html codes of the index.html page (included in the zip file) for other pages of your website. Afterwards, you can just edit the content and title of the other pages and you are done ^_^. If you want to edit the navigation in the future for all the pages in your site, then you will have to edit each page individually if the extension of your file is .html. If it is .php, then you can edit the navigation for all pages at once using the technique of php include. Free servers such as freewebs and geocities will not support php include, however. The above methods that I described will work for both div and table layouts. For free server, is there any possible way to not have to edit every single page when I want to add something to the navigation using CSS? Using External CSS can edit the style of the navigation, such as hover color, background, fonts, font color, etc, but it would not be able to edit the content of the navigation, like your links and stuff. After I download one of your premade layouts, where do I put the file called Style.css (which is what give the overall style to the site) in the html code of the layout? The "Style.css" file is indeed what gives the style on your site. It contains CSS codes that defines the font color, font style, link color, link style, link hover effect, and more. You can typically apply the CSS style to a site in three ways. Both embedded and inline CSS style place the actual CSS codes within the header section of the html codes of the layout itself. But what I used is external CSS, which affects the entire site by linking an external CSS file (the style file that you have mentioned) to the html codes of the layout using the code <link rel=stylesheet type="text/css" href="style.css"> If you want to customize your layout further, like change the font color or whatever, you have to do it in the style.css file you downloaded.
